Nearly everything, really. Nice hotel, nice room, nice people working there, nice breakfast, nice parking, nice patio. I feel that it's worth every dime paid. This was the first and the only case when I truly enjoyed the conversation with a person at the reception who turned out to be a true erudite who is into history and geography.

The room was spacious and modern. a nice view of the harbour and town with a pretty garden view too. the hotel is approximately 1km(walk on hills) from the old town with many restaurants with various price rages. it is also quite near ro the botanical garden which is about 2km above the hotel. for walkers a doable trek, There are about 8 parking spaces for residents underneath the hotel. One gets a FOB on arrival which allows car access in/out during stay. Breakfast was good, with service at table, no buffet or self service.

The hotel is beautiful, a mixture of ancient and modern located in a botanical garden. The staff is very kind and the breakfast is delicious. the location of the hotel is perfect for walking to the center of Funchal in a few minutes. Special thanks to Nuno for his availability. We had the plane overnight and Nuno brought us breakfast to take away for the trip. This holiday will be unforgettable 😍🌺

The hotel was in an excellent location for walking into town The garden was beautiful, well tended and very peaceful, with great views down to the harbour All the staff, without exception, were super friendly and helpful Really good to have a small kitchenette in the room Breakfast was very relaxing, taken either on the terrace or in the dining room. There was plenty of variety on offer, but wish we had known there was also yogurt and cereal available, only found out a couple of days before we left!

Wonderful staff, homemade cake for breakfast, different each day which made already fabulous breakfast even more special. Super location, quiet but close to old town. The hotel was clean, the mattresses very good, it had a beautiful well kept garden with cozy terraces. Beautiful view over the harbour. Summary: top notch staff and location. Clean and comfy accomodation.

Location was quiet and close to old centre but also on several bus routes which was really useful for getting back up the hill! The hotel was lovely, the staff were lovely and we slept well and enjoyed the views from the room and the terrace.

This was a very cute boutique hotel w/ beautiful grounds. The room was spacious, clean, well appointed. The shower had good water pressure and good hot water. The daily breakfast was delicious and included a daily specialty juice. You could have your breakfast in the dining room or on the terrace. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and had excellent suggestions for restaurants. The hotel has a covered garage which was very convenient, although the spaces (and the roads) are bit small by American standards. The hotel was only a short walk from Zona Velha. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The staff are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The view from my room was stunning and liked the large windows that could open. I liked that I could sit outside in the beautiful garden for breakfast.

Staff were lovely throughout. Huge pros were the peaceful and quiet location only 10-15 mins walk from town and the private underground car park, a really important thing to have in Funchal! Setting for breakfast and views over town from the upper storey rooms also lovely

The hotel is small and cozy, near the city center yet so idillic and quiet. I finally had really quality, long sleep. Breakfast is simple but enhanced by the hearty and always proactive staff. The hotel has its own small garden where they grow herbs. The room was spacious with a big bathroom. The staff was fantastic, super friendly and always there for you.
